Let’s face it: Pain is a pain — in the neck, in the back, in the legs and the arms, in the head. Anywhere. No one likes to be hurting.
At Montvale Health Associates, our chiropractic health-care professionals are dedicated and committed to treating disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the negative impact they can have on general health.
The Montvale Health Associates Approach to
Montvale Health Associates specializes in providing the highest quality treatment, delivered with a high level of respect and personal attention to ensure that you receive the best care possible.
At Montvale Health Associates, we employ a conservative care first approach. Conservative care utilizes treatment options such as spinal manipulation, physical therapy, spinal decompression, and lifestyle adjustments to treat back pain whenever possible. After conservative options are exhausted surgical options may be explored, though this is the case for a very small number of patients. In the case that surgery is needed, we utilize a minimally invasive approach whenever possible to decrease the risk of complications and quicken recovery time.
We are also committed to a team approach to ensure that you get the best quality care. As opposed to a typical chiropractor’s office primarily staffed with Doctors of Chiropractic and assistants, we have doctors across many disciplines (learn more about our staff of physicians) in addition to chiropractors including physical therapists, orthopedics, massage therapists, and pain management specialists. As a result, you will never receive treatment that we do not feel you need. If we see that traditional chiropractic treatment isn’t best for you, we have the capability to refer you to another specialist in house that can give you the treatment that will be most effective. And, we’re all under one roof to make sure that your treatment is not only effective, it’s convenient.
About Chiropractic Care
The non-invasive, drug-free, hands-on approach of Doctors of Chiropractic, practitioners also known simply as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians, focuses on patient examination, diagnosis and customized treatment.
In addition, chiropractors are also well versed in diagnostics, and are trained and eager to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises to patients. We also recognize the importance and health-related benefits of nutrition and proper lifestyle choices.
At its most basic, chiropractors perform a therapeutic procedure called spinal adjustment, or chiropractic manipulation.
In most cases, back pain emanates from the misalignment (called vertebral subluxation) of the spinal vertebrae. The subluxation, basically an impinged nerve, causes irritations of the spinal nerve, which in turn inhibits the normal nerve flow from the brain to the tissue. A gentle chiropractic adjustment is used to realign the spine.
Spinal Decompression has a high success rate for chronic back pain, sciatica, herniated and bulging discs, and degenerative disc disease. It is a non-surgical, non-invasive, drug-free treatment.
Spinal Decompression Therapy works by gently stretching the spine, changing the force and position of the spine. As the vertebrae separate in microscopic increments, a vacuum is created inside the discs and correct spinal alignment. Over a period of six to eight weeks, results are typically quite dramatic in their ability to provide relief.

Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
