Steven Ugras, MD
Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist
As the founder of Health Quest Medical Practice, Poughkeepsie, NY, he helped develop a surgical division for a large multi-specialty group.
He was trained at the University of Massachusetts and Morristown Memorial Hospital and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. He completed his medical studies at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Ugras is certified by the American Board of Surgeons and also holds certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. His memberships include: American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Candidate member; American College of Surgeons, Candidate Group; and The American Plastics & Reconstruction Research Association.
Dr. Ugras was also Robert Wood Johnson Sports Medicine Society President, 2001-2002 and the Ferdinand C. Valentine Student Research Grant recipient. In addition to his medical awards and publications, he was a member of the Ivy League Champion, 1999 University of Pennsylvania Football team. He is fluent in Turkish and also speaks Spanish.
