No Need to Dread, No Need to Suffer

It happens to every woman, but the experience can be as different as your fingertips. Menopause: that dreaded word and dreaded time of life. No need to fear–it doesn’t have to be that bad.

Some women fly through without issues while others struggle with a myriad of symptoms. Physiological changes occur as ovaries begin the process of “shutting down.” There is a significant decline in the two major female hormones produced by the ovary: estradiol and progesterone. These declining and constantly changing levels lead to the varying manifestations of menopause. It’s another stage in your life that should be celebrated, not just endured. Menopause is not a disease, but rather a time that may present challenges to a woman’s quality of life.
